About ʻAhahui Haku Moʻolelo
The ʻAhahui Haku Moʻolelo (Hawaiian Journalists Association) was initially organized by Native Hawaiian journalists in 2014 with the goal of providing a means of association among Native Hawaiians in the industry. The organization aims to elevate journalism by educating news media organizations to fairly, accurately, and completely cover Hawaiʻi’s story. We also strive to provide encouragement, advice, and opportunities to Native Hawaiian students and young adults who aspire to pursue journalism careers; and empower the Native Hawaiian community to utilize and access news media.
